This project area is the corridor of the Watonwan River in minor watersheds 31027, 31028, 31030, and 31040.

Interns for the Watonwan County Soil and Water Conservation District (SWCD) walked the length of the Watonwan River and recorded dump sites, erosion sites, and log jams in 1993.
