The project area is the Waconia Lake lakeshed which includes minor watersheds 33106 and 33107. These minor watersheds are included in the Lower Minnesota River Major Watershed.
The Waconia Lake project was completed through the MPCA - Lake Assessment Program (LAP) in 1994. A Lake Water Project (LAP) report includes general information about a lake’s trophic status, factors (such as land cover/land use or point source pollution potential) affecting nutrient input to the lake, fisheries health, water quality, historical trend analysis, and watershed assessment modeling.
