This Level IV Land Use Assessment is performed on the following minor watersheds: 28033, 30030, 30047, 30050, 30056, 31015, 31058, 32042, 32067, 32073.

The Level IV Land Use Aerial Photography Methodology component of the Minnesota River Assessment Project (MRAP) utilizes large scale color infrared (CIR) aerial photography to obtain land cover/land use information. Photographic interpretation is used to identify, classify and delineate landscape features for manual map production. This assists in the assessment of point and nonpoint pollution sources within the studied minor watershed area. Digitization of the maps into electronic form for computer modeling and analysis, along with other MRAP study information, aids in the development of a cost-effective methodology and appropriate best management practices (BMPs) applicable to the 1208 minor watersheds of the Minnesota River Basin study area.
