The project area includes all minor watersheds within the Le Sueur River Major Watershed.
The Le Sueur River Implementation Framework is a Phase I - Diagnostic Clean Water Partnership Project funded in 1995 and sponsored by the South Central Minnesota County Comprehensive Water Planning Project (SCMCCWPP). Contributing sponsors are: Blue Earth County, Faribault County Freeborn County, LeSueur County, Steele County, Waseca County, US Geologic Survey, City of Mankato, and Mankato State University. The project area is the Le Sueur River Major Watershed. The purpose of this project is to assess the contribution of the Le Sueur River to the pollution load of the Minnesota River and provide proper management to reduce sedimentation and loss of nutrients from the watershed. This project is currently underway.
