Scientific and Natural Areas (SNA’s)

Data Summary Scientific and Natural Areas are established to protect lands and waters embracing natural features of exceptional scientific and educational value. The Minnesota County Biological Survey (MCBS) determines rare features suitable for SNA designation. All SNA data are stored with the Minnesota Natural Heritage Program (NHP).
