This survey of the upper Minnesota River was conducted to collect, analyze, and record information on physical, chemical, and biological conditions to provide the basis for fish and game management and to evaluate recreation potential. This was the first fish and game survey of this section of the Minnesota River. The report includes descriptions of the watershed and river (e.g., glacial history, dams, and water quality), fish spawning and history of fisheries management, commercial fishing, recreation, pollution, and fish. Appendices include tables of survey results and a map of the river section.
