The historic WW Mayo House will be open for tours from noon to 4 p.m. with a special interpreted display of carpentry tools from the mid-1800's. Dr. WW Mayo hand-built the little Gothic-style house with the help of his brother James. Discuss what tools he would have had available to him and what building practices he used that makes the house unique. Regular site admission; free to MNHS, MHIS and NCHS members.
