Mike Lynch will introduce you to the spring constellations. We'll be using large reflecting telescopes, including a giant 20" reflector, one of the biggest mobile telescopes in the upper Midwest for close up views of planets, star clusters, nebulae, galaxies and other wonders in our skies. Mike Lynch is a meteorologist at WCCO Radio and has been teaching astronomy classes for over 40 years. He also has authored the books, "Mike Lynch's Minnesota Star Watch" and "Wisconsin Starwatch". You're invited to bring your lawn chairs to make yourself comfy! Meet at the Upper Picnic Shelter at Fort Ridgley State Park
Refreshments will be served. Free Will donations accepted. Minnesota State Park vehicle permit required on all vehicles.
