The Clean Water Partnership (CWP) Program provides matching grants to local units of government to protect and improve lakes, streams, and ground water that are affected by nonpoint source pollution. Data from CWP projects are entered into Storet. CWP project reports are available in hard copy format from the MPCA. Some GIS mapping is available for more recent CWP projects. Data from the Clean Water Partnership (CWP) Program are entered into the MPCA’s Ambient Water Quality Monitoring Program (AWQMP) database.

Lake Assessment Program (LAP)
Data Summary |
The Lake Assessment Program (LAP) is a cooperative effort of the MPCA staff and local citizens, such as a lake association or municipality, to characterize a lake's condition and provide some basic information regarding the interaction of the lake and its watershed. Data from the Lake Assessment Program (LAP) are entered into Storet. The program reports are available in hard copy format from the MPCA and as PDF documents on the MPCA website. Data from ongoing projects are held in-house in Excel documents. Some of the more recent projects are also held in electronic document form (Word). Data from the Lake Assessment Program are entered into the MPCA’s Ambient Water Quality Monitoring Program (AWQMP) database.
