Wetlands

Data Summary Douglas County Public Works maintains drained wetland and protected waters information. The Public Works maintains an inventory of WCA wetland mitigation projects and a countywide wetland bank. The Pope County Soil and Water Conservation District (SWCD) maintains a countywide drained wetland inventory and maintains records of the acres in the WCA wetland bank. The Stevens County Soil and Water Conservation District (SWCD) completed a drained and farmed wetland inventory in 1985 and maintains records of WCA wetland mitigation projects and acres in the WCA wetland bank.
