Minor watershed number(s): 23019, 23020, 23021, 23022, 23023, 23024, 23025, 23026, 23027, 23031, 23032, 23033, 23034, 23035, 23051
The project area is the Barrett Lake Watershed which includes all or portions of the following minor watersheds: 23019, 23020, 23021, 23022, 23023, 23024, 23025, 23026, 23027, 23031, 23032, 23033, 23034, 23035 and 23051. These minor watersheds are located within the Pomme de Terre River Major Watershed.
The Barrett Lake project was completed throught the MPCA Lake Assessment Program (LAP) in 1991. Cooperators for this project include the MPCA, DNR, Grant County Soil and Water Conservation District, and the Barrett Lake Improvement Association. A LAP report includes general information about a lake's trophic status, factors affecting nutrient input to the lake (such as land cover/land use or point source pollution potential), fisheries health, water quality, historical trend analysis and watershed assessment modeling.
