CLMP volunteers measure lake transparency at a designated spot once a week during the summer. Data from the CLMP are Secchi disk (transparency)measurements recorded by lake name or DNR DOW lake ID#. These data are entered into the MPCA’s Ambient Water Quality Monitoring Program (AWQMP) database.

Citizen Stream Monitoring Program (CSMP)

Data Summary The Citizen Stream Monitoring Program (CSMP) is a cooperative program of the Minneosta Pollution Control Agency (MPCA) and volunteer citizens who collect stream water quality data. Volunteers of the CSMP measure transparency, appearance, recreational suitability, precipitation, and stream stage once a week (precipitation daily) at an established spot on a nearby stream. This program was recently developed and therefore the only data available are the number of volunteers by county. Data from the Citizen Stream Monitoring Program will be entered into the MPCA’s Ambient Water Quality Monitoring Program (AWQMP) database.
