Minnesota Soil Survey SSURGO Certified

Data Summary Soil survey format and period of record is variable for individual counties in Minnesota. SSURGO Certified Soil Surveys have been completed for the following counties within the Minnesota River Basin: Lac qui Parle, Renville, Nicollet, Sibley, and Rice. Digitized soil surveys are currently being completed for Martin and Watonwan Counties. A soil survey update is in progress and waiting to be compiled onto NAPP Orthoquads in Swift and Waseca Counties. Soil survey mapping has been completed, base map is rectified and waiting to be compiled onto NAPP Orthoquads for the following counties within the Minnesota River Basin: Otter Tail, Traverse, Big Stone, Kandiyohi, Chippewa, Yellow Medicine, Lyon, Redwood, Murray, Jackson, Brown, Blue Earth, Mc Leod, Le Sueur, Faribault, and Freeborn. Soil surveys of Carver, Scott, and Dakota counties require varying amounts of updating to meet more intensive user needs. Soil surveys for the following counties are out of date and need to be updated before digitizing: Grant, Douglas, Stevens, Pope, Lincoln, Pipestone, Cottonwood, and Steele.
