WPA Historical Tour

Saturday, August 10, 2013
5:00 p.m.

We will take a walking tour to learn how the impact of the 1930s Great Depression still resonates at Minneopa State Park.  To put people back to work President Roosevelt created programs like the Works Progress Administration (WPA) through his groundbreaking New Deal.  Young men formed into companies were put to work building structures found at Minneopa and many other Minnesota state parks.  Many of these features are still being used today by park visitors.  Please meet at the parking lot at the Falls area.
