Sheep-Wool-Quilts

Sunday, September 28, 2014
1:00-4:00 p.m.

Alexander Harkin came to Minnesota and West Newton to raise sheep on the hillside. He did that and was noted as having very good quality wool. We have a program to honor the wool industry. Come and see the displays of the wool and information about wool. There will be a display of spinning wheels, carders and wool items and quilts, new and old. The Harkin Store is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays with programs on Sundays 1-4 p.m. There is an admission charge which includes the displays and a tour of the store. The gift shop is open the same hours and has a discount in the shop.

For more information contact the store on weekends at (507) 354-8666 or Nicollet County Historical Society (507) 934-2160.
