Owls are fascinating birds. What other bird can rotate its head almost 270 degrees or have the ability to fly practically silent? Did you know that the right ear of the Bared Owl is higher than the left one? Owls come in all different shapes and sizes.
Come out to Fort Ridgely State Park on March 29th (Saturday) at 2 p.m. for a presentation about some of the unique characteristics of owls and 12 different ones that can be found in Minnesota including the Great Horned Owl, Bared Owl and Eastern Screech-Owl.
The presentation will be held at the park's Chalet and co-sponsored by the Nicollet County Historical Society.
