Nature Hike

Saturday, May 31, 2014
4:00 p.m.

There are many cool places to go exploring at Minneopa State Park.  On this walk we will start out at the picnic area on the campground side and head down into the Minneopa Creek Valley ending up at the confluence with the Minnesota River.  Along the way we will stop to talk about some of the plants, wildlife, trees and geology of this area.  A hike is a great way to experience the natural world around us.  The total distance is around 2 miles and it will take us around an hour and half.  Be prepared for some steep and rough terrain.  Meet at the Group Campground on the campground side of the park.
