Nature Hike

Sunday, May 26, 2013
4:00 p.m.

Flandrau State Park is a wonderful place to go for a hike.  Join the Minneopa Area Naturalist for a hike through the floodplain forest along the Cottonwood River.  This trail will take us up some steep climbs as we weave our way through a forest of maples, oaks and of course the cottonwoods.  On the hike we will talk about some of natural and historical characteristics of the park including aquatic life in the Cottonwood River, CCC Historic Structures, and some of the various animals that live here.  Meet at the Day Use Area playground near the swimming pond.
