Flowing across the southern part of the state, the Minnesota River has its own unique story beginning with the glaciers and continuing to the present day. The Dakota called it Mnisota or clear blue water or clouded blue water. At one time a prairie/wetland ecosystem dominated the Minnesota River Basin with most of it converted to agriculture production. This program will look at both the natural and historical significance including the role of geology, rich cultural and much more. Meet at the Picnic Shelter in the campground.
