Energy, Food Production & Wind Protection Walk-N-Talk

University of Minnesota Southern Research and Outreach Center in Waseca to learn about several projects related to bio-energy crops, living snowfences, agroforestry initiatives, hazelnut research and sustainable landscapes. This unique Walk-N-Talk will cover a diverse set of research projects at the Waseca location related to agroforestry. "Landowners looking for new opportunities in land management that can provide economic return, protect our land resources and fulfill personal value goals will benefit from this Walk-N-Talk" state Linda Meschke, Present of Rural Advantage. Attendees will be able to view the research plots and ask questions. This event is free and open to the public. Attendees should meet at the SROC-Waseca Office building at 1 p.m. The SROC facility is located on the west edge of Waseca just off old Highway 14. Scheduled speakers include:
