In the fall of 2012, the iconic bridge at the Minneopa Falls received a much-needed facelift with a new concrete deck and safety railings. To celebrate the restoration of this 1921 bridge, the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources in partnership with the Friends of Minneopa and the Many Rivers Chapter of The Prairie Enthusiasts is hosting a Bridge Dedication and other presentations during the day. Parks and Trails Director Courtland Nelson will be hand to offer some thoughts about this valuable project and what it means to Minneopa State Park. Other activities will be offered during the day including two presentations by the Minnesota Zoomobile, a Minneopa Creek Watershed Tour and a program called “What lives in the Creek.”
