|
Executive Summary The Minnesota River Watershed Comprehensive Guidance Document and Trail Corridor Plan was prepared for the State of Minnesota to serve as a tool for the people of the Minnesota River Watershed in managing and enhancing the quantity and quality of recreation opportunities in communities throughout the watershed. The Department of Natural Resources in cooperation with the Minnesota River Basin Joint Powers Board, together with the consultant team of Barton-Aschman Associates, Inc. and Bolton & Menk, Inc., provided oversight in the development of the Guidance Document utilizing extensive community participation. This process which focused around three partnership groups provided opportunities for representation from the entire watershed. This process involved citizens, organizations, businesses and units of government from each of the twelve major sub-watersheds of the Minnesota River. |
