Redwood River Basin Judicial Ditch 31 Hydrologic Modeling

Minor watershed number(s):   27012

The project area is minor watershed 27012 located within the Redwood River Major Watershed.

The Redwood River Basin Judicial Ditch 31 Hydrologic Modeling study was a multi-agency project completed in 1998 with the help of the following project participants: Redwood Cottonwood Rivers Control Area (RCRCA), Minnesota Department of Natural Resources (DNR), Minnesota Pollution Control Agency (MPCA), Board of Water and Soil Resources (BWSR), The Wetlands Initiative (TWI) and World Wildlife Fund (WWF), local precipitation recorders and host for flow monitoring devices. The purpose of this study is to demonstrate the potential flood reduction benefits of restored wetlands, road retention structures, and other soil and water conservation practices.
