Area Location and Definition:

The project site is located in Scott County near an existing gully. The project site is in NE 1/4, NW 1/4, Section 13, Township 113N, Range 25W, Belle Plaine Township. This lies within the Lower Minnesota River Major Watershed, minor watershed 33089.

Project Description:

The Gruetzmacher Stormwater Control System and Grade Stabilization Stucture Project prevents overfall gullies from advancing up a slope. An earthen structure with a pipe drop water control assembly is installed across an existing gully to drop water from one stabilized grade to another. A wildlife poind is constructed on the upstream side of the stucture to provide habitat for waterfowl. The photos below show the progression of the project.
