Area Location and Definition:

The project site is located in Scott County in the S 1/2, NE 1/4, Section 23, Township 113N, Range 25W, Blakeley Township. This site lies within the Lower Minnesota River Major Watershed, minor watershed 33140.

Project Description:

Two water and sediment basins are contructed to correct gully erosion in a cropland field. An embankment is built across a depressional aea of concentrated water runoff to act similar to a terrace. The structure will trap sediment and water running off farmland from above, preventing erosion of the cropland below the structure.
