Watershed Projects

Beardsley Ground Water Study Phase I - Diagnostic (CWP).  MPCA Clean Water Partnership project, 1991-1992. The project area is located in the Upper Minnesota River Major Watershed within Big Stone and Traverse Counties and includes the following minor watersheds: 22034, 22037, 22045, 22046, 22047, 22049 and 22053.

Factors Influencing Ground Water Quality Near Beardsley, Minnesota.  MPCA ground water study, 1987-1989. The study area is a ten-square-mile region south and west of Beardsley, Minnesota located within Big Stone County. The study area includes all or portions of the following minor watersheds: 22034, 22037, 22049, and 22053.

Big Stone Lake Restoration Project EPA Clean Lakes Phase II - Implementation.
EPA, 1985-1992. The project area is the lakeshed of Big Stone Lake which is divided by the Minnesota/South Dakota state border. The Minnesota portion of the lakeshed is located in the Upper Minnesota River Major Watershed within Big Stone and Traverse Counties and includes the following minor watersheds: 22027, 22028, 22034, 22037, 22045, 22046, 22047, 22048, 22049, 22050, 22051, 22053.

Lac qui Parle County Ditch #3 Project.  Lac qui Parle County, 1993-1994. The project area is minor watershed 22015.

Lac qui Parle Reservoir Lake Assessment Program.  MPCA Lake Assessment Program (LAP), 1988. The Lac qui Parle Reservoir is located in minor watershed 22008. The project area is the Lac qui Parle Reservoir watershed which includes the Upper Minnesota River, Pomme de Terre River, Lac qui Parle River, and Chippewa River Major Watersheds of the Minnesota River Basin.

Meadowbrook Study.  Minnesota Pollution Control Agency, US Fish and Wildlife Service, University of Minnesota, and the Upper Minnesota River Watershed District, 1992-1995. The project area is located in minor watershed 22045.
