High Island Sportsmen's Park is located on the eastern edge of New Auburn and is the only direct access to High Island Lake. The park is located next to the High Island Lake Conservation Club complex.
This public boat ramp features a concrete ramp and courtesy dock to make it easier to get in and out of High Island Lake. There is plenty of room to park your vehicle and trailer. The boat ramp is also an excess point during the winter.
High Island Lake is classified as a shallow lake commonly found in southern Minnesota. Lake depths range from five to seven feet. The southern edge of the lake is part of a large wetland complex and favorite site for waterfowl hunters.
