High Island Creek is located along the bluffs of the Minnesota River Valley and is a favorite of horseback riders. This Sibley County park was established in 1968 and consists of 200 wooded acres. |

High Island Creek Park is open to people wanting to camp, picnic or just relax on a warm summer day. The park features picnic shelters, vault toilets, grills, picnic tables and plenty of open space to enjoy a game of volleyball. |

You can get down to High Island Creek from the main part of the county park but it is a fairly long hike down a pretty steep trail. This section of the creek is a popular paddle among members of the Mankato Paddling Club. |
