SCMCCWPP sponsors a volunteer rain guage reader network. This volunteer rain guage reader network reports daily precipitation during the growing season (May through September) to their county Soil and Water Conservation District (SWCD). These data are sent to the Water Resources Center at Minnesota State University, Mankato, for entry into the Minnesota State Climatology database and for generation of contour precipitation maps. These data have been collected since 1992.
